Mount & Blade: Warband
TaleWorlds Entertainment's sequel to Mount & Blade is essentially a more polished and feature-rich remake of the original game with the notable addition of multiplayer support. Like the original, Warband enjoys the support of a dedicated modding community that has created many excellent mods. Some of the more popular ones, like the total conversion mods Brytenwalda and Gekokujo aim for historical accuracy in specific time periods and places in history while others like Prophesy of Pendor and A Clash of Kings are set in fictional fantasy realms, the latter based on Game of Thrones. As usual, my interest is in enhancing the core, singleplayer game and so my mod picks reflect this.

Recommended Mods
- Expanded Horizons - Grants the illusion of being able to see further into the horizon in battle maps.
- New Women Faces (with Improved Male Faces) - Self explanatory mod that makes the faces of NPCs in the game more aesthetically pleasing.
- Floris Expanded v2.55 - A large mod compilation that massively enhances and expands the native experience. While Tocan's Calradia is still my favorite for its greater stability, simplicity and grind-reducing features, Floris is the one native-expanding mod to play when you want the most gameplay options and expanded features.
- Realistic Colors 1.22 + Taller Grass - Modest texture improvement mod that includes taller grasses.
- Tocan's Calradia: A Native Expansion and Mod Compilation - My current pick for a single game overhaul brings together a number of excellent fixes, additions and conveniences to the native game experience without radically changing the core game. It possesses some of the popular mods found in Floris Expanded such as Diplomacy and Freelancer while incorporating features that reduce some of the more tedious aspects of army building and conquering.
- Warband Battle Size Changer - Game patcher that allows you to field up to 1000 NPCs at once in a battle map. Game performance and stability will depend greatly on user PC specs.
